Not too bad...

Remixed and sent. Enjoy.

So one note, huh? Did you use Sytrus or Crystal or something? What program do you use?

As for the note, it's got a pretty neat sound. I was originally expecting an actual song to remix, but this was fine.

The remix is only like a minute long. lol

PARANATION responds:

It was Sytrus and the note was Conspiracy lol

Very ambient.

When I hear this, I think of the background music to some futuristic RPG. I think it clips a little. :/ For the drums, I agree that some continuity would enrich the track. I think the bass and kick drum are kind of weak as well. But still you did alright; the melodies are pretty neat, and the sounds are alright too.

Well, I won't say too much, but...

Sample choice is good. Beat is alright, except I can't identity where exactly a measure begins; tis confusing. I do like the little nuances you incorporate into the track, so I hope you will expand upon this. :)

Trance FTW!

The first thing I noticed was the kick, or rather, the lack thereof. Can't hear it; bring up the punch. Can't hear much of your snare either; I think your minimal approach to percussion takes away from the loop's energy and continuity. As for the gating synth, nice job with the sound. :) The melody you used on the lead synth is kind of neat, but It's rather passive; I would alter it to be more dense with notes... Sorry if this review sounds completely pessimistic: I like the track, but I definitely see room for improvement. :)

hehe, still working on it. The kick is in the other song. I realized one thing after I uploaded it, my other drum beat isn't in it O.o

Good, so far.

I will be honest and say that the kick in the beginning is uncomfortably loud. Do you have a limiter on the master track? I believe it's upping the kick level higher than it needs to be. Other than that, sounds are generally good, especially the bass. I like the bass. The panning on the hats is a nice touch. In the last 15 seconds or so, I would make the rhythm of the melody more defined, as opposed to freestyle-esque. Definitely expand upon this and build up slowly. Tis all, nice work. :)

Pyroific responds:

i've got everything i need on the master :P i just turned the drums up louder cause i like it xD

Lots of energy and good mixing!

I love a nice, clean trance song that carries you. This is one of such songs. Very clean and well-mixed. I think the melodies do the job quite well, and the chord progression is cool too. 10/10 for wanting to hear this on the radio.

P.S. Would you review one of mine? Thanks.

Sounds like something in a flash.

It's undeniably catchy and fun to listen to, but it's also kind of messy. That bass is really phat, but I think it might be actually clipping. I might either turn down the bass a little or pan it a little to one side. However, as it is it's still pretty sweet. :)

Allow me to rephrase what others said. :P

While the drums are abundant, they don't really stand out. Also, work on either some glitchy effects or some more luxuriant melodies. I know that sounds like a weak criticism, but there are a variety of resources online about music theory, including how melodies work. Keep at it, though, csd. CHAAAAAWKLIT RAYYYYNE!

csdthegreat responds:

Three 7s! I must be lucky! I WISH I could do glitchy effects and the like, but GB can only do so much... or, I can only do so much with what I've learned. I've been messing around in GB every day... I'll figure something out eventually...

Pretty good really. :)

Your sounds blend very well in this track, and the progression is pretty neat. I appreciate the work you put into automation! That's a lot of patterns for a short song like this. I like the punch of the kick, but what I was thinking along the lines of was maybe a good gabber kick in some places. One with lots of distortion. But anyway, still, great work, and keep it up!

So.

In spite of all negativity expressed by others, there's definitely room for improvement. control your volume levels to avoid clipping, and try to get your sounds to blend a little better. As for your preset ordeal, try to utilize things like SimSynth to make all new sounds. Not to denounce or impede on your endeavors, but hopefully, with time you'll be able to get sounds to mix a little better- namely, your own. Peace :)

thanks, i 'll try to do
